TESTIMONIALS

“We wholeheartedly recommend our Doula Kysha. We chose her for her incredible warmth and professional spirit, which perfectly blend deep, heart-centered empathy with structured, highly practical information. She kept me and my Partner centered, focused, and confident in our desire for a peaceful atmosphere while ensuring clear advocacy for our Birth Plan. As scenarios changed, we weren’t panicked or fearful because we had gone over these (as well as the emotions attached to these) possibilities and contingencies in-depth. She was an advocate when we needed, and also gave us the courage to advocate for ourselves. Kysha prepared us thoroughly for both the birth and the transition into parenthood, providing invaluable tools, practices, and resources. Kysha also provided steady and thoughtful support during the postpartum period. She checked in regularly at our home, helped us with everyday tasks, and made sure mom was cared for and getting what she needed to recover. The space she held was easy, nurturing, and real… and her home cooked meals were consistently nourishing and delicious. She has a talent for guarding peace while remaining a calm, comforting, and deeply kind. If she has an opening, you shouldn’t hesitate to book her.”

I couldn’t recommend Kysha more. She helped me achieve a VBAC, something I had been so afraid might never happen. My birth was such a positive experience, and I owe so much of that to her love, support, and knowledge for both me and my husband. From start to finish, she was fully present, caring, and always seemed to know exactly what to do and when to do it. She helped me feel empowered and capable through every stage of labor, guided my husband in how to support me, and brought strength, calm, and humor when we needed it most. She did so much more than I can even put into words, and I’ll be forever grateful.

My biggest fear was the unknown—pain, complications, and feeling out of control. I really wanted support that was focused on me and not just the medical side of things, having Kysha as our doula helped me feel more in control and less afraid. During prenatals Kysha explained what to expect in a way that felt empowering and clear, helping us understand options and prepare our minds, not just our birth plan. That made the actual experience less overwhelming. Kysha gave me tools, reassurance, and presence. Kysha doesn’t push an agenda and really listens and holds space. Kysha is nurturing, knowledgeable, and respectful of both medical advice and personal choices. Knowing Kysha was there helped me stay grounded through every wave. The emotional support and calm energy Kysha brought, especially during labor, made us feel safe and supported, and she helped my husband support me. Kysha held the space so beautifully and gently, reminding me to trust myself. We didn’t feel alone at any moment. Kysha guided us without pressure, which gave me confidence in my body and the process. I would absolutely recommend having a doula and I’d 100% recommend Kysha.

“Kysha offered me indefatigable physical and spiritual support during my 24 hour birth (18 of which she was fully present for). Every single breath of every single surge, she provided me with a rice sock and hand on my sacrum to provide relief from the back labor I was experiencing. Kysha encouraged me to rest between surges when I would be expending energy by talking, rationalizing and resisting. She offered me a cool, wet wash cloth, sips of drinks and warm and loving eye contact throughout the hardest day of my life. Kysha embodied Mother Earth when I needed grounding and Quan Yin when I needed compassion. Words simply don’t do it justice to the profound gratitude that fills my heart when I remember the way Kysha showed up with her whole heart and whole soul. Every single kind touch and loving word was the medicine I needed to bring my daughter into this world. I will never forget her, Gwendolyn will always know her name.”

“ Kysha is an incredibly thoughtful and intuitive person, and she added so much value to our birthing journey. One of the strongest memories from my active labor phase was Kysha gently but firmly applying pressure and massaging my calves and feet in between contractions. It made me feel grounded and present, taken care of and relaxed. It is hard to put into words how important that feeling was for me in that moment. As a first time parent, there is so much uncertainty and unknown with birth.  Much of that is exciting, but there is also some fear. Knowing that whatever happened, I would have Kysha with me and my partner, we felt reassurance and support. As a first time parent, working with a doula was an incredibly valuable investment of time and energy for my mental and physical health, my relationship with my partner and my new baby.”

I was very scared about birth and especially how to prepare for birth and labor as a first time mom with no prior experience for a very big life event. The more I read and researched the more freaked out I seemed to get so I wanted a doula as additional support for myself and my partner as we prepared to bring a baby into the world. It was wonderful to have Kysha in our lives the months leading up to our baby arriving so when I was in labor she was a familiar face and a familiar energy. Kysha is so calm and collected and she made me feel the same way while we labored at home and in the hospital. She was also incredibly attuned to what my mind and body needed. From strong hands to help provide pressure and massage during contractions to extreme patience when I asked for broth or water to help sustain energy. Most importantly I felt no judgement from Kysha and she respected the decisions I made in my pregnancy and birth and I feel so grateful to have had her support us in welcoming our son into the world.

”From the moment Kysha began her journey as a doula, I knew she possessed a rare and powerful gift. As her mentor, I saw her blossom into an exceptional doula, a true advocate for birthing families. What truly set Kysha apart was the immediate, unwavering presence she brought to every birth. It wasn’t just about the physical support, though her intuition for knowing exactly how to ease discomfort and guide labor was astounding. It was the deep, genuine emotional attunement she offered. She seemed to instinctively understand the unspoken needs of both the birthing person and their partner, creating a space of profound comfort and trust.

Over the years, I’ve mentored many new doulas, each with their own unique strengths. Yet, Kysha’s ability to navigate the birthing space with such confidence and grace, despite her relative newness, was truly remarkable. It wasn’t just knowledge; it was an innate understanding, a natural ability to connect and empower. She seemed to know precisely what to say, when to offer a comforting touch, and how to suggest techniques to encourage progress.

Beyond her amazing doula skills, Kysha is simply a beautiful human being. Kind, genuine, and incredibly personable, she radiates warmth and creates an instant connection with everyone she meets. Her presence alone is a source of calm and reassurance. If you’re seeking a doula who combines exceptional intuition, unwavering support, and a truly compassionate heart, I cannot recommend Kysha highly enough. She is a true gem in the world of birth work, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have witnessed and supported her remarkable journey.”
